Visa Information

Depending on your nationality, you may need to apply for an e-Visa or Landing Visa. The Congress Secretariat can assist eligible participants in obtaining an eVisa E-Code.

Visa-free entry

Visa-exempt travellers

Foreign attendees entering Taiwan visa-free must hold passports with a remaining validity of at least six months and a return or onward air ticket and a valid visa for the next destination. The maximum period of stay in Taiwan for foreigners who enter visa-free is 14, 30 or 90 days, upon the expiration of which period they must depart.

Use the Bureau of Consular Affairs checker to confirm whether your nationality qualifies for visa-exempt entry and to verify your permitted length of stay.

eVisa assistance

Visa Assistance & eVisa E-Code

International participants who require a visa to enter Taiwan may request visa assistance from the Conference Secretariat to attend the 7th World ROP Congress 2027 in conjunction with the 2027 TMS Annual Meeting.

For eligible participants, the Conference Secretariat may assist in applying for an eVisa E-Code (Electronic Visa Certificate) through the relevant government authorities in Taiwan. Once the E-Code has been approved, it will be provided to the participant to complete the online Taiwan eVisa application.

How it works

Application process

Four steps from request to approved eVisa.

  1. Submit Your Request

Complete and submit the Visa Supporting Documents Request Form to the Conference Secretariat, together with the required passport information.

  2. E-Code Application

The Conference Secretariat will coordinate with the relevant authorities to apply for an eVisa E-Code on behalf of eligible participants.

  3. Receive Your E-Code

Once the E-Code has been approved, the Conference Secretariat will provide the E-Code to the participant.

  4. Apply for Taiwan eVisa

Using the E-Code provided by the Conference Secretariat, participants may complete the online Taiwan eVisa application through the Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Important deadline

Submit by 30 July

Please note that eligibility for an eVisa E-Code and the issuance of a visa are subject to the requirements and approval of the relevant authorities. Participants who are not eligible for an eVisa should apply for the appropriate visa through the nearest Taiwan overseas mission.
